"The Silmaril burns within him, and no chain can ever hold him." 🔥
Here is Carcharoth, the Red Maw 🐺, the werewolf raised by Morgoth in the jaws of Angband to be the sentinel of his realm.
Tolkien describes him as "the greatest of all wolf-beasts that ever walked the world": nourished on living flesh, infused with the dark power of the first Lord of Evil, destined for a single, glorious, terrible confrontation, the Hunting of the Wolf, in which he will meet his death by the fangs of the hound Huan.
This action figure captures the most tragic and iconic moment of his story: 🔥 the instant after he bit the hand of Beren, which was clutching the Silmaril just torn from Morgoth's iron crown. The sacred gem, intolerable to any evil being, burns his belly from within: and here is the most powerful sculptural detail of the model, the torn flesh that reveals the devouring fire of the Light of the Two Trees. 💎
🎯 Designed for those who:
- love the Silmarillion and the epic of the First Age
- collect creatures and villains of Middle-earth
- follow my Middle-earth collection (Thorin's Company, heroes and enemies of LOTR…) and are looking for less obvious subjects than a Balrog or a Nazgûl
- want a narrative piece for their desk or display case that tells a story, not just a pose
💡 What sets it apart: not a generic fantasy wolf. It is Carcharoth at the exact moment of his damnation, with the Silmaril burning within him, a rare subject in 3D printing, developed with very dense fur textures, a facial expression filled with fury and pain, and a sculpted rocky base that recalls the desolate plains before the gates of Angband. 🗡️
