Sagola Sander Deflector Hood
Print Profile(1)

Description
The demise of these sanders is not always due to use, but sometimes simply due to the passage of time…
The person who commissioned this from me had been using their old sanders until they died from use. During the years they used these sanders, they had two new spare sanders in a closet inside their boxes and in perfect condition. However, when they went to use them, they realized that the rubber disintegrated just by touching it… .
If this is your situation and you don't want to throw away your new sanders just for this reason, perhaps this is your model
This design is a deflector (shroud) for Sagola L505 and L252 pneumatic random orbital sanders, like those seen in the photos
It is recommended to print in TPU because to be able to place the shroud in its place and to tighten the sanding pad (125 or 150mm)
Before printing it for another brand or model of sander, it is recommended to measure. From my experience, I have seen some from certain brands that are extremely similar and others that are extremely different. Just a few millimeters make a difference, so the compatibility criterion is at the discretion of the model's user
If, when assembling the shroud, it is warped or deformed and rubs against the pad, it can be heated slightly with a heat gun and pressed against something flat until it cools
