Description
Shower Basket Collection for 8 mm Glass Shower Walls
A modular shower basket system designed to be mounted directly onto 8 mm glass shower walls. The design provides additional storage space for shampoo, shower gel, soap, and other bathroom accessories without requiring drilling or permanent installation.
Available Versions
Two basket styles are included:
- Standard Version – No overhangs, optimized for easy printing.
- Overhang Version – Features an extended front section for additional storage capacity.
The overhang version was successfully printed without supports on my printer. However, print results may vary depending on printer calibration and material settings. If you are unsure, I recommend using the standard version without overhangs.

- Basket dimensions: 260 × 131.75 mm
Small Version ( not printed, only STEP files )
- Basket dimensions: 228.824 × 131.75 mm
Printing Recommendations
For long-term durability in a humid bathroom environment, PETG or ASA is recommended.
- PETG: Easy to print and moisture resistant.
- ASA: Higher temperature resistance and excellent long-term durability.
PLA may work initially but is generally not recommended for warm and humid environments.
I printed the basket and rods with a 0.4 mm nozzle, 4/5 walls, and 35% infill in PETG. This setup resulted in a rigid and durable part suitable for many storage space for shampoo, shower gel, soap, and other bathroom accessories.
Assembly Notes
The connecting rods use an M10 thread.
Important: Do not overtighten the threaded connections during assembly. Excessive force can cause the threaded sections to crack or break. Light Hand-tightening is sufficient to ensure a secure assembly.
The mounting bracket is designed specifically for 8 mm shower glass panels.
Real-World Testing
This design is currently used in my own shower setup with three basket levels installed and loaded with various bathroom products.
The assembly has proven to be stable and reliable in daily use. When printed in PETG assembled without excessive force on the threaded connections, it provides sufficient strength for typical shower items such as shampoo bottles, shower gel, soap, and cosmetics.

Print quality and strength depend on printer calibration, material choice, and print settings. Always verify that the basket is securely mounted before loading it with heavy items.
