Bill of Materials
Description
Solve once and for all the annoying problem of where to place your mosquito coil and, above all, how to catch the ash that gets blown everywhere.
This volcano-shaped mosquito coil holder perfectly combines design and functionality.
Its true strength lies in its versatility: it can be used completely open or closed with its conical lid, creating a brilliant "volcano effect" as the smoke gently rises from the crater.
The base is not just a stable support, but serves as a fully integrated container that collects all the ash cleanly, making it incredibly easy to empty and clean.
Two Versions Tailored to Your Needs
To give you the ultimate flexibility, this accessory is available in two different versions:
- With Integrated Support: The ultimate all-in-one solution. It features a built-in, 3D-printed internal slot so you can secure the mosquito coil directly onto the base without needing any extra parts.
- Without Internal Support: Designed for maximum freedom. This version leaves the base completely open, allowing you to easily place your mosquito coil using the classic metal stand traditionally included in the coil packaging.
Whether it is to decorate your home, enjoy your garden during summer evenings, or as an original and practical gift for friends and family, this accessory is bound to become a summer essential
Dimensions & Print Profiles (A1 Mini Compatibility)
The model has been designed to fit different needs and build plates:
- Available Sizes: From 150 mm up to 200 mm in diameter.
- Bambu Lab A1 Mini Compatibility: I have uploaded dedicated 150 mm and 175 mm profiles, specifically optimized and sized to fit the A1 Mini build plate perfectly.
Print Settings & Material Selection (Heat Resistance)
To ensure the durability of the object and safely handle the heat generated by the burning ember of the mosquito coil, please follow these guidelines based on the diameter you choose to print:
- 150 mm Profile (PETG / ABS Highly Recommended): Due to its compact diameter, the inner walls of the volcano are very close to the burning ember. For this reason, it is highly recommended (almost mandatory) to print this version in PETG or ABS to prevent any warping or deformation.
- 175 mm Profile (and above): Thanks to the increased diameter, the walls are further away from the heat source and experience much less thermal stress. Consequently, PLA can be used for the 175 mm size and up, although PETG remains the ideal choice for better outdoor longevity.
