Boost Me (for free)
Hey all,
I would really appreciate if you boost my model(s).
It really motivates me to make more models.
I´ve got some vessels still in line to come :)
There currently are two different submarines (U-96 from the famous movie “Das Boot”, which also was a real world submarine in WW2 and a custom Type VII-C with atlantic camo)
Besides that, you can also print a non AMS version without a multi color tower.
Printing recommendations
Use max. 0.16 mm layer height on a 0.4 mm nozzle or smaller for tower and guns.
The hull parts can easily be printed with 0.2 or even 0.24mm layer height.
Support is required for most parts.
Hull parts are be too large for smaller printers, but everything should be downscalable.
Assembly
Assembly needs to be done with glue – think of it as a classic model kit 🙂
The hull parts can be put together using the connector pieces for easier assembly.
(Pro tip: If you have an solderin iron, use this one to meld the hull parts together, its way faster and more reliable)
Please take a look at the pictures to see the correct positions of each part.
Filaments used:
- Light grey = Geeetech Grey PETG
- Dark grey = Sunlu Grey PETG Mate
- Black = Sunlu Black PETG Mate
- Red = Sunlu Red PETG
- Green = Sunlu Green PETG
- Gold = Eryone Gold PLA
The base plate is a real wooden plank (french oak if you´re that curious:)
Ps: dont ask me why I used a common video game figure that looks like a flying pizza on the custon tower. That has been my 03:00 in the morning brain doing its best work.
