Description

I installed the s00nish EV aftermarket Sub kit in my Rivian R1T.  I wanted to locate the remote bass knob (Kicker remote: CXARC) alongside the bottom tray well right beside my drivers seat for easy reach and easy routing.

This is printed in PETG HF. I recommend at least PETG, which has served me very well in my vehicle over the years.  ASA or ABS, or PETG-CF would work, as well, but are likely overkill.  I wouldn't use PLA, simply given the temperatures your cabin may see in the summertime, depending on your climate.

I do have a small silicone tray organizer laying inside my tray, so you'll see an extra kickout, or lip hinged onto the inside.  If you don't have a tray, you can modify this feature away.  It won't hurt that it's there.

Due to the nature and intent of placement, I haven't had any issues with this wanting to slide or move around on me once everything is in place, especially since it's in an out-of-the-way location that you're unlikely to knock into.  So, I have not added anything to keep this in place.  However, if you're so inclined, I will recommend adding some VHB or other double-sided tape to keep this in place if you're concerned with it migrating on you.  Also to note: I intentionally filleted (rounded) all edges, so there shouldn't be any concern regarding scratches or aggressive edges.

Enjoy, and let me know if this works out for you!
