Description

First Order Stormtrooper Armor - Wearable

WATCH THIS FIRST!!! HEY!!! I KNOW THESE ARE ALL SMALL!!! They are all at 1/6th scale! Before you begin printing or assembly, you must know how to size and scale your armor properly for a perfect fit. Anyone who trys to sell you “one size fit's all” is stealing your money!! This is free! Watch my tutorial here on how to size, scale, cut, pin, and orient armor or any model inside Bambu Studio or Orca:

Detailed Description

This is a fully wearable, high-fidelity cosplay suit inspired by the First Order stormtrooper armor. These troopers served as the primary infantry for the First Order, a military junta that rose from the ashes of the Galactic Empire. Designed with a sleek, minimalist aesthetic, this armor pays homage to its predecessors—the Phase I and Phase II clone trooper armor and the iconic Imperial stormtrooper gear of the past—while modernizing the look for a new generation of conflict.

Whether you are a seasoned prop maker or new to the world of cosplay, this set provides the structural foundation for your project. The design has been meticulously prepared for 3D printing, ensuring that each component contributes to a screen-accurate silhouette.

Recommended Materials

For the best results with this armor, I highly recommend using SUNLU PLA+ or SUNLU PETG for a balance of durability and print quality. These filaments provide the strength needed for wearable armor while maintaining excellent surface detail. You can find their full range of high-quality filaments here: SUNLU Official Store.

Essential Cosplay Tools

  • Cosplay Calipers: Accurate measurements are the secret to comfortable, wearable armor. Use my custom-designed measuring tool to get the right dimensions: Cosplay Calipers
  • Welding Kit: If you are printing your armor in sections, I recommend using a high-quality 3D printing welding kit to fuse your parts securely together for maximum stability during wear. Just google “Plastic Welding Kit”, you will see it in the attached video.

Remixing & Expansion Ideas

The modular nature of this armor design allows for massive creative versatility within your collection:

  • Trooper Variants: Utilize these base files to remix and create specialized units like the heavy gunner troopers, flametroopers, or riot control gear.
  • Scavenger Aesthetic: Modify the geometry to create "weathered" or battle-damaged variants, perfect for dioramas or post-apocalyptic cosplay builds.
  • Material Testing: Experiment with different finishes or paint jobs to transition from standard soldier armor to high-ranking officer or pilot variants.
