Bill of Materials (BOM) / Required Parts
- Motor: 1x JGY-370 Worm Gear Motor (12V, approx. 30 RPM recommended)
- Power Supply: 12V 5A DC (5.5x2.1mm)
- Switch: 1x 6-Pin Rocker Switch (DPDT / Polarity Reversing Switch)
- Screws: 4x M3 (approx. 6-8mm) or BT3x8 self-tapping screws for the enclosure
- Wire: Flexible Stranded Wire / Twin Wire (0.75 mm² / AWG 18)
Wiring / Polarity Reversal
[DE] To make the motor run forwards and backwards, you need to solder the outer pins of the switch crosswise (X-connection). Connect the 12V power supply to the two middle pins. Make sure to use 0.75 mm² (AWG 18) wires, as the power supply can deliver up to 5A! Insulate the solder joints with heat shrink tubing.
[EN] To reverse the motor direction, solder the outer pins of the switch crosswise (X-configuration). Connect the 12V power supply to the two middle pins. Make sure to use 0.75 mm² (AWG 18) wires, as the power supply can deliver up to 5A! Protect the soldered joints with heat shrink tubing.
