Description
Welcome, makers! Today, I'm sharing a project born from a beautiful intention: creating a unique surprise gift from Saint Petersburg. Unable to find a stylish wall decoration of this city commercially, I decided to make it myself.
To design this exclusive model, I used Artificial Intelligence to generate a custom silhouette, both solid and detailed. Once the perfect image was obtained, I vectorized it using Inkscape software, then imported it into my CAD software (AutoCAD and Autodesk Inventor). This simple and effective approach allowed me to adjust the tracing and scale the silhouette to create a superb personalized gift.
This model has been optimized for flat printing, without any supports. To capture all the finesse of the spires and architectural details of Saint Petersburg, the use of a 0.2 mm nozzle is highly recommended.
A Matte Black or Textured PLA filament will provide a sober and elegant finish, perfect for adorning a wall.
Moving from left to right across the silhouette, you'll find the 5 iconic monuments of the city :
- The Admiralty and its mythical spire
- St. Isaac's Cathedral and its grand dome
- The Church of the Savior on Spilled Blood with its traditional domes
- The Winter Palace (Hermitage Museum)
- The Peter and Paul Fortress which magnificently completes the line.
