Description
🛠️ Hustler Mower Steering Arm Bushing Replacement
This is a high-precision replacement bushing modeled to exact nominal OEM specifications for Hustler part number 781153. Designed from scratch to replace worn-out steering arm bushings and restore tight, responsive steering control.
📐 Nominal Dimensions (CAD Geometry):
- Bore ID: 0.75" (3/4 in)
- Flange OD: 1.25"
- Total Height: 0.75" (Full detailed engineering blueprint included in the image gallery!)
⚠️ Critical Note on Printer Variance & Tolerances:
3D printers, extrusion multipliers, and filament types vary significantly. While the underlying CAD model is dimensionally perfect to OEM specs, your physical results will depend entirely on your printer's calibration and material shrinkage. * If your machine tends to over-extrude, or if your chosen material shrinks as it cools, your inner bore may print tighter than 0.75".
- If you are using high-shrinkage engineering materials, be prepared to tune your slicer's compensation settings to match your specific setup.
⚙️ Recommended Print Settings:
This is a heavy-duty mechanical part subject to continuous mechanical stress. For best results, do not print this in standard PLA.
- Recommended Material: Carbon Fiber Nylon (PA-CF) or high-flow PETG (PETG-HF).
- Wall Loops: 6 (Ensures the entire barrel sleeve prints as 100% solid, continuous perimeters).
- Infill: 95% Gyroid (Provides massive compression strength without bloating the part's outer dimensions).
- Wall Generator: Arachne
- Calibration Example: On the test machine using Polymaker Fiberon PA612-CF, a 0.3mm X-Y Hole Compensation was applied in the slicer to successfully counteract nylon shrinkage and achieve a perfect, smooth slide-fit onto the 3/4" steering shaft. You may need to adjust this value up or down depending on your specific filament behavior.
