Coaxial Pinion Gear Generator V2

Fully parametric. No engineering knowledge needed.

Just enter number of teeth and total diameter in mm — the generator calculates everything else automatically.

🚀 WHAT'S NEW IN V2

4 languages built-in: English, Italiano, Español, 中文
Internal recess/step on big gear faces (optional, for snap-fit or weight reduction)
Warning in console if gear tooth sizes don't match (they won't mesh)
✔ Better parameter organization and clearer labels

✅ FEATURES

✔ Big gear + coaxial pinion in one printable piece
✔ Input: tooth count + total outer diameter (mm) — no module/pitch knowledge needed
✔ Smooth (toothless) pinion option
✔ Hollow hub / through-hole
✔ Helical or herringbone teeth
✔ Independent helical angle for gear and pinion
✔ Select language for console output and 3D labels

🛠️ HOW TO USE

  1. Set Big_Teeth and Big_Diam_Tot — outer diameter you want (tip to tip)
  2. Set Pinion_Teeth and Pinion_Diam_Tot — same logic
  3. ⚠️ For the gears to mesh, both must have the same tooth size:
    tooth_size = Diam_Tot / (Teeth + 2) → keep this equal for both gears
  4. Set shaft diameter and lengths (+Z / -Z protrusion)
  5. Optionally enable recess on big gear faces or hollow hub
  6. Set Language = "en" / "it" / "es" / "zh"
  7. Disable Show_Debug_Box and Show_Dimension_Labels before exporting STL

📏 READ-ONLY FIELDS (auto-calculated)

The customizer shows these values automatically — do not modify them:

  • Tooth size (module)
  • Pitch diameter
  • Base diameter

⚠️ IMPORTANT

  • Requires BOSL2 library (included in MakerWorld's parametric maker)
  • Standard pressure angle: 20°
  • All measurements in millimeters
