10 inch Rack 3U : 8 x 3.5 inch HDD - Hot Swap ! Dense Better ventilation
Design:
- HOT SWAP is possible. I really wanted that feature and couldn't find it anywhere on printable/makerworld
- Following feedbacks, the 3.5" tray has now greater tolerances and passive ventilation has been enhanced
- 3U x8 HDD allow for a better gap between each disks (see pictures)
- !!! this is still a very compact design please plan for active heat dissipation !!! USE AT YOUR OWN RISK…

Print:
- No support ! Print face down see picture. Trust the bridging capabilities of your printer. v2 has only 30mm bridges
Assembly:
- It's probably going to be “new tool day” if you want to print that… You will need a HEX/ALLEN key 2MM with a very long blade (at least 3U) such as:
- Bondhus 3752 Extra Long 2mm Ball End Screwdriver
- Stanley Extra Long Allen Key 2mm
- Then assemble the 7x SATA connectors as per pictures starting from the least accessible.
