Description

🔴 Mars Topography Puzzle — 127 pieces

A fully 3D-printable 127-piece jigsaw puzzle based on the real topographic map of Mars, derived from NASA/USGS MOLA satellite data. Each piece faithfully reproduces the craters, volcanoes, canyons and polar caps of the Red Planet. This is both a scientific object and a genuine krypt-style impossible challenge: no image, no color, no straight edge — only the raw topography of Mars to guide you.

✨ Key features

- 127 unique interlocking pieces, circular shape, no straight edges

- Krypt-style difficulty: monochromatic surface, zero visual cues

- Highly detailed 3D relief: Olympus Mons, Valles Marineris, Hellas Planitia, Tharsis Bulge, polar caps

- No supports needed — all pieces print flat

- Assembly frame included for wall display

- Storage stand included to store or display the assembled puzzle upright

🖨️ Print settings

- Filament: Orange PLA or PLA+ recommended — Martian look straight off the printer, no painting needed

- Layer height: 0.12 mm for maximum detail (0.16 mm acceptable)

- Infill: 15% (gyroid or grid) — Walls: 2 perimeters — No supports

- Note: cover photos show a hand-painted version

🔭 Scientific data source

Topographic mesh derived from the NASA/USGS MOLA dataset (Mars Global Surveyor, 1999-2001), the most accurate elevation map of Mars ever produced. Elevation range: -10,784 m (Hellas Planitia) to +21,229 m (Olympus Mons) at 128 px/degree resolution. Data: public domain (NASA JPL / USGS).

🏫 Educational value

An ideal STEM toy for classrooms, science clubs and curious minds of all ages. While assembling, you naturally learn to identify the major geological features of Mars: Olympus Mons (the highest volcano in the solar system), Valles Marineris (the largest canyon), Hellas Basin, and the Tharsis Bulge. A unique science gift for space enthusiasts, educators and geeks alike.

🔥 Difficulty: Expert ★★★★★

Krypt-style impossible puzzle: circular shape + monochromatic surface + pure topographic relief = no visual cues whatsoever. For the most committed puzzlers. Tip: use a MOLA elevation color map as a reference while solving.
