THE MODEL :

Shroud your gaze in an aura of nocturnal mystery with this breathtaking Baroque masquerade mask inspired by the bat. This exceptional design reimagines the captivating anatomy of the winged creature, transforming its signature large ears and facial contours into a finely chiseled lattice of dense Rococo scrollwork and fluid arabesques. Perfectly blending dark romance with Renaissance opulence, this statement piece evokes the classic intrigue of Victorian masked balls. It is the ultimate accessory to elevate an aristocratic vampire cosplay, a high-fantasy outfit, or to display proudly as an occult art sculpture on a vanity table or library shelf.

Tested Print Settings (Recommendations): The contoured profile and intricate ornamental details of this model were successfully verified using matte black PLA.

  • Infill: Set at 5% for the decorative display setup. Slicing Pro-Tip: Since the pointed ears extend vertically, if you plan to attach ribbons or straps for active wear, we suggest boosting the infill to 15-20% and running 3 to 4 wall loops (perimeters) around the temples to secure maximum structural strength at the mounting points.
  • Nozzle: 0.4 mm
  • Supports: Light tree supports are highly recommended beneath the pronounced nose bridge and under the lower ear lobes for a flawless surface finish.

Sizing Information: The model is scaled to standard adult facial dimensions. Please feel free to freely resize the model based on your desired use inside your slicing software to achieve a custom-tailored fit for your face width or to downscale it into a striking miniature display artifact.

INFORMATION:

A common question is: why do these prints require supports when they could be printed lying flat?

For my designs, I deliberately choose to print them standing upright rather than flat, in order to achieve the best possible level of detail. I prioritize visual quality over saving a few grams of filament.

Of course, you are free to change the print orientation in your slicer if you prefer.
