Description

"The Treasure Ship of Zheng He" is a board game designed by Hisashi Hayashi, who is also known as the designer of Yokohama and Bomb Busters.

This insert is designed for the Kickstarter Deluxe Edition of The Treasure Ship of Zheng He.

Other editions may have different component sizes or counts, so compatibility is not guaranteed.

The game comes in a fairly large box, while the component count is not extremely high. Because of that, I intentionally made some trays larger than the bare minimum. The goal was not only to store the components, but also to fill the box tightly, support vertical storage, and prevent the contents from shifting around inside the box.

All trays are arranged to use the full box footprint as much as possible. Even with everything stored inside, including the boards and rulebooks, the box closes without lid lift.

The card trays are intentionally roomy and should support thick sleeves.

Every tray includes component labels for easier setup and cleanup. If you have AMS or another multi-color setup, I recommend printing the labels in a second color for better readability. The labels are modeled into the trays, so single-color printing also works fine.

Most tray labels are embossed/inlaid on the tray floor. The card trays use side labels, which are debossed and do not require color printing.

Designed with practical storage in mind:

  • Fills the box to reduce movement
  • Supports vertical storage
  • Labeled trays for faster setup and teardown
  • Works in single-color print
  • Optional two-color label printing with AMS
  • No lid lift after everything is packed
