Recurve Bow Grip - Archery
Print Profile(1)

Description
I modeled this grip for my Galaxy Tourch recurve bow riser, it probably fits many other models/brands and if it doesn't fit yours by all means remix it to fit and share here. I'm making this open source so the archery community can experiment and fit it to different risers and let everyone benefit from the work. I used photogrammetry and blender+meshlab to get it where it is now, hopefully it's easy enough to work with if you want to play around with remixing it, I'm no pro. There's a .obj for remixing.
I included a .3mf for preset slicer setting with TPU 95A, if you have your own preferred TPU settings or if you want to use PETG or PLA etc. then by all means, I know results may vary from printer to printer and filament to filament. My print profile has fuzzy skin turned on but by all means try smooth or both and see what you prefer. The orientation I have it at in the .3mf (shown in the pictures and 3D preview) is the best orientation for the look of the layer lines, and adhesion/strength. Supports were pretty easy to remove for me so don't let that discourage you. I've been shooting with this grip for months now and I'm quite pleased with it, far better than the stock grip in my opinion.
Please give it a shot and see if it fits your bow! It doesn't take much filament at all. If it fits your riser of a different type or brand please let me know in the comments what riser so I can make a note in the description of compatibility. The goal is to make a free and open resource for archers everywhere to experiment and provide the community with another option.
I would like to model them for more models/brands of bows but can't buy every bow to fit check and adjust and don't have an archery club nearby. If you're looking to get one made specifically for your bow and are willing to let me borrow your riser I will make you a grip for free. Message me and we can work out the logistics. I know it's probably a long shot, but worth putting this out there, this has been a long term goal of mine. I'm in the US.
