This Modular Snap-Fit Ball Joint Chain is a high-performance mechanical system engineered to print completely support-free and work immediately after printing. Featuring an optimized ball-and-socket design inspired by the geometry  each individual link snaps together with a highly satisfying, crisp tactile click. The integrated vertical flex-slots allow the socket walls to temporarily expand and safely capture the next link, resulting in a fluid, multi-axis range of motion capable of twisting into striking multi-color arches.

🖨️ Recommended Print Settings

  • Layer Height: 0.20mm Standard (or 0.16mm for maximum joint smoothness)
  • Wall Loops: 4 Perimeters Minimum (Crucial to give the expanding socket walls the elastic strength they need to prevent snapping during assembly)
  • Infill Density: 20% to 25% (Gyroid or Grid)
