Print Profile(1)

Description
The KC-10, introduced in 1981 to give the USAF a bigger, longer range refueling aircraft intended to complement the much larger number of KC-135s in the fleet. 60 were built between 1979 and 1987, with 2 more Dc 10s being converted for the RNLAF into a similar role. The KC-10 was able to carry 356,000 Lbs of fuel (161,000 Kg) and could offload 1,100 gal (4,200L) of fuel a minute through the boom, it was also capable of drogue operations for USN aircraft.

The model
This model is a no sprue (cant fit a sprue on such a a large model) So ensure maximum plate adhesion, i recommend washing with warm water, dish soap and a paper towel or wash cloth. Glue is also helpful.
It has the refueling boom able to only be deployed in the down position, this is mostly because it also helps supports the model. I did include a full length fuel boom, this extends past the hight of the stand, so account for that if you so choose.
It comes in the more modern dark grey scheme, a older dark blue and white scheme may be released as well.
Assembly is very easy and straight forward, I recommend super glue for holding it together, but it isn't strictly necessary. The wings connector is a very tight fit into the fuselage, this is intentional, please use care and caution, it does take a lot of force.
It uses 3 colors, I used dark gray, black and gold.
