Description
Who doesn't know it? Almost every other person owns a Gardena hose reel. Especially on hot summer days, I frequently encountered the problem of the hose kinking directly at the guide without water pressure.
Thanks to 3D printing, I have now developed a simple solution for this: a kink protection for 1/2-inch water hoses.
The kink protection can be quickly and easily attached and, if necessary, just as easily removed.
This should finally resolve the issue of a 'kinked hose'.
The model shown in the pictures is a prototype made of PLA. However, for outdoor use, I recommend PETG, as this material remains dimensionally stable even at summer temperatures.
