Medieval Combat Axe – Cosplay & Display Model

Prepare for battle with this highly detailed Fantasy Battle Axe, designed specifically for FDM 3D printing, cosplay, fantasy displays, and prop collections.

Featuring a sharp double-edged blade design, carved wooden-style handle textures, and elegant fantasy-inspired engravings, this axe combines a rugged warrior aesthetic with clean ornamental details. Whether you're creating a medieval fighter, barbarian, ranger, or fantasy hero cosplay, this prop makes an impressive addition to any costume.

The model measures approximately 370 mm (14.6 inches) in total length, making it ideal as a one-handed battle axe while remaining practical for conventions, displays, and photography.

For easier printing and assembly, the axe is separated into two individual parts:

  • Axe Head
  • Handle

Once printed, the two pieces can be securely joined using glue to create the complete prop.

The model can be resized to suit different projects, from compact display pieces to larger convention props. If scaling the model, always ensure that both parts are scaled by the same percentage so the connector dimensions remain compatible and the assembly fit is preserved.

Features

  • Detailed fantasy battle axe design
  • Designed for FDM 3D printing
  • Double-edged blade style
  • Decorative fantasy engravings
  • Realistic wood-textured handle
  • Two-part assembly
  • Perfect for cosplay and fantasy displays
  • Approximately 370 mm total length
  • Easy to paint and customize
  • Scalable for larger prop builds

Assembly Notes

  • Print the axe head and handle separately.
  • Dry-fit the connection before gluing.
  • Use super glue or another suitable adhesive for assembly.
  • When resizing, scale both parts equally to maintain proper connector fit.

This Fantasy Battle Axe is a great project for makers, cosplayers, collectors, and fantasy enthusiasts looking for a durable and impressive printable prop weapon.

     Guide

Each of my models is printed 2-3 times before releasing the profile. So if you have a problem with printing:

1. DRY THE FILAMENT
2. CHANGE THE NOZZLE TO A NEW ONE.

Recommendations  Guide : In case of a problem with damage to the supports, I recommend reducing the printing speed of the supports by 30-50% and the travel speed to 400mm/s. When removing the supports, I recommend first cutting off the pieces right next to the character, but not removing them, just cutting them off. Remove the remaining larger pieces and only then detach the remaining smaller pieces. This reduces the risk of damaging delicate elements.

  • Please note that if you use a different filament than the recommended one, the effect may be different from my print. For example, printing in silk PLA will look better but the supports and the print itself will be more brittle and less durable.

    Recommendations:

  •
  • 0.08-0.2. In the event of changing the original height, the height of the supports should be changed.

  • PLA+HS, PLA+, PLA, PLA silk Recommended materials are listed in order from best to good.

  • Clean the plate thoroughly before printing.
Make sure the filament is dry and free from dirt. This can damage the print or weaken the support
