Title:
Parametric Radius Template
Concept:
The template is designed for both internal and external radii and can be parameterized using SCAD with the following options:
- Radius
- Template height
- Tangential extension of the ends
- With/without stop faces
- Stop face height
- Stop face thickness
- Cutouts (to save weight/material)
- Wall thickness around the cutout
- Web width between cutouts
- Number of cutouts
- Minimum cutout width
- Embossing depth for labeling
- Rendering resolution adjustment
Usage:
The template is intended for routing rounded corners but can generally be used for other applications, such as a gauge. Depending on the specific use case, the stop faces can be removed, and the tangential extensions shortened or lengthened.
Radii can be varied between 10 mm and 256 mm; the minimum template thickness is 1 mm.
Program SCAD needed for model parametrization.
