Dragon Slayer One-Handed Dragon Axe
Bring legendary fantasy power to your collection with the Dragon Slayer, a highly detailed dragon-themed battle axe designed specifically for FDM 3D printing, cosplay, conventions, LARP displays, and fantasy room decor.
The centerpiece of this impressive weapon is the sculpted dragon head emerging from the axe head, complete with sharp scales, horns, fangs, and intricate ornamental details. The design combines the ferocity of a dragon with the elegance of a fantasy weapon, creating a striking prop that looks fantastic both painted and displayed.
The model is designed as a one-handed axe with a total length of approximately 350 mm (13.8 inches), making it comfortable for cosplay use while maintaining impressive visual presence.
For easier printing, the axe is divided into two separate parts:
- Axe Head
- Handle
After printing, both parts should be securely glued together to complete the model.
The Dragon Slayer can be scaled to create larger display pieces or oversized cosplay weapons. When resizing, it is important to scale both parts equally so that the connecting joint and assembly hole maintain the correct proportions and fit properly.
Features
- Highly detailed dragon-themed fantasy axe
- Designed for FDM 3D printing
- Two-part assembly for easier printing
- Dragon head, scales, horns, and decorative details
- Ideal for cosplay, conventions, displays, and collections
- Approximately 350 mm total length
- Easy post-processing and painting
- Can be scaled larger or smaller when both parts are resized equally
Assembly Notes
- Print both parts separately.
- Test-fit the connection before gluing.
- Use cyanoacrylate (super glue) or another suitable adhesive.
- If scaling the model, always scale both parts by the exact same percentage to preserve the connector fit.
Whether displayed on a wall, carried to a convention, or added to a fantasy weapon collection, the Dragon Slayer is a striking prop that captures the power and majesty of dragons in a compact, printable design.
Guide
Each of my models is printed 2-3 times before releasing the profile. So if you have a problem with printing:
1. DRY THE FILAMENT
2. CHANGE THE NOZZLE TO A NEW ONE.
Recommendations Guide : In case of a problem with damage to the supports, I recommend reducing the printing speed of the supports by 30-50% and the travel speed to 400mm/s. When removing the supports, I recommend first cutting off the pieces right next to the character, but not removing them, just cutting them off. Remove the remaining larger pieces and only then detach the remaining smaller pieces. This reduces the risk of damaging delicate elements.
Please note that if you use a different filament than the recommended one, the effect may be different from my print. For example, printing in silk PLA will look better but the supports and the print itself will be more brittle and less durable.
Recommendations:
- 0.08-0.2. In the event of changing the original height, the height of the supports should be changed.
PLA+HS, PLA+, PLA, PLA silk Recommended materials are listed in order from best to good.
- Clean the plate thoroughly before printing.
Make sure the filament is dry and free from dirt. This can damage the print or weaken the support
