Description

Some people get swords. Some people get crowns. Some people get grim destinies wrapped in cosmic horror and questionable administrative oversight.

Jason Asano got a coin.

This is my book-accurate inspired version of Jason Asano’s Spirit Coin from He Who Fights with Monsters. I designed it as a fan-made collectible for anyone who has ever wanted to hold one of Jason’s most recognizable little pieces of weird, magical, probably-system-adjacent nonsense.

The goal was to make something that feels like it belongs in the world of the books: simple enough to print cleanly, detailed enough to display, and just strange enough that someone might ask why you have a mysterious fantasy coin sitting on your desk.

Features

  • Book-inspired Jason Asano Spirit Coin design
  • Clean front and back detailing
  • Designed for display, cosplay, props, or fan shelves
  • Printable as a single-color piece, multicolor print, or painted after printing
  • Great little desk item for fans of He Who Fights with Monsters

Printing Notes

This should print standing up using supports. For best results, use a fine layer height to preserve the surface details.

Suggested settings:

  • Layer height: 0.08mm
  • Infill: 15–20%
  • Supports: tree
  • Brim: Optional, depending on your bed adhesion
  • Filament: PLA, Silk PLA, or metallic-looking PLA works great

For an extra nice finish, try printing in gold, bronze, copper, or dark metallic filament. A little dry brushing or paint wash can also help the details pop.

Fan Disclaimer

This is an unofficial fan-made model inspired by He Who Fights with Monsters by Shirtaloon. I am not affiliated with Shirtaloon, Podium, Royal Road, or any official rights holders. This model was created as a tribute for fellow fans.

Print it. Display it. Give it to a mate. Just don’t be surprised if it starts making sarcastic comments about your life choices.
