Description

Custom Kerbal Space Program Controller (KSP/KSA Compatible)

I have always wanted to make a kerbal controller since the first one came out a decade ago. It was something that was always beyond my skill and then life got in the way. Now I have finally gotten around to it! I have printed every part several times and fought my code into submission and am ready to share everything.

Boost Me (for free)

Any Boosts are appreciated as they fund my future projects and hobbies!

This was primarily made to be simple and use as few parts as possible while getting the main buttons. Ive targeted mine at my younger kids and trying to get them into the game. The parts list is not extensive or expensive by any means. I have also included a guide with pictures and descriptions on how to make your own. This project is not for the impatient as I ran into several issues that took awhile to overcome. I am not sure how much help I could be as some problems that you may experience will be unique to you or your system. The Pi code is included as .txt files as Makerworld does not like .py files types. This is all DIY and open sources! Feel free to edit the files, remix, change the code, whatever you like as long as its shared under the same license.

Updated added a second code file replacing throttle buttons with time warp.

Parts List:

  1. Pico Pi Clone https://a.co/d/06OjUdbN
  2. Keyboard Switches https://a.co/d/03tgNgLY
  3. 2 axis Joystick https://a.co/d/03eDGuqO
  4. Jumper Wires https://a.co/d/047TyRO4
  5. Linear Slide Potentiometer https://a.co/d/0dr2Qxui

Comments and critiques are welcome, though as I said this project can get a bit overwhelming when things go wrong. I had help with the code so I probably wont be able to walk you through an changes.

the link is broken for the slider, is the b503 the correct one?

Ive updated the link and it should work now. I think as long as its 60mm in total length with 45mm of travel it should work.

b503 looks to be a rotary potentiometer, no reason that would not work though you will have to make a new plate for it. I've uploaded some blank plates that you can make your own layout
