BallTrack Grid⁹ – 3×3 Ball Grid
BallTrack Grid⁹ is a compact 3×3 motion grid featuring nine freely rotating domes. The geometry is optimized for smooth movement, clean printing, and a satisfying tactile feel — all without requiring an AMS.
This model is designed to be:
- support‑free (brim recommended for stability)
- easy to print
- beginner‑friendly
- stable in rotation
- fun to fidget with
The included print profile is tuned for consistent rotation and a clean surface finish. Just print, remove any remains of brims, screw the balls together and enjoy smooth motion.
Update June 6th 2026: added a print profile “relaxed fit” due to issues screwing the ball parts together. Recommended if the tight fit is too hard to assemble or you want to use specific filament (was tested with wood filament). Many thanks to my fellow makers @Puffers, @NoMoreFails and @Laim67 that pointed out the issue to me - awesome support, my friends!
