Printing – Quick and easy, no supports. The models in this collection were designed so that their details are visible at a 0.2 mm layer height, however, if print time is not an issue, you can achieve better results with smaller heights
Assembly – To glue the neck to the body you can use super glue, however I recommend using a fusion glue, like Revell or Tamiya, as there will be a lot of string tension. I usually leave it for 12 hours for the glue to dry and cure
Stringing – This is the only slightly difficult part, but it's what really sets it apart from other models. Be patient and you will succeed. The strings are made with 0.5 mm fishing line, in the grayest color you can find

- use a pin to ensure that the holes through which the strings will pass are clear, being careful with the nut, which is very fragile
- cut a generous piece of line and thread it through the nut, headstock, and bridge
- turn the guitar over and tie two simple, firm knots behind the headstock; cut the excess and melt the remaining tip with a lighter
- now the final knot, at the back of the bridge, where the string should be stretched; make a simple loop, stretch the string, and hold it stretched with a small pointed tool that stays inside the loop (see photo); then close the loop until it lightly grips the tool before removing it and closing the knot; tie a second knot so that it is below the first knot; cut the excess and melt the remaining tip; done (it took me 3 or 4 attempts to get it right)

Supports – I used the custom3dmodels supports, enlarged to 115%

History
David Gilmour's "Black Strat" is one of rock's most famous guitars. Manufactured in 1969 and purchased in May 1970, it was Gilmour's main instrument on the albums Dark Side of the Moon, Wish You Were Here, Animals, and The Wall. In a historic auction, the guitar set an absolute record of US$ 14.5 million
Origin and First Modifications - Gilmour's first black guitar was stolen in 1970. To replace it, he bought the original Black Strat model (a 1969 sunburst finish painted black) at Manny's Music store in New York. Due to the constant search for the perfect tone, the guitar underwent several customizations: Necks: The neck was changed at least six times. The most notable was a maple neck with a rosewood fingerboard from a '63 Stratocaster. Gilmour Switch: Installation of a tiny switch (mini-toggle switch) that allows connecting the neck pickup together with the bridge pickup, creating unique sonic textures
The Classic Phase and Radical Changes - Between 1974 and 1976, it gained the iconic black pickguard, replacing the original white pickguard. Gilmour also began experimenting with more powerful pickups, installing the prototype Seymour Duncan SSL-5 bridge pickup. In the 80s, the body was even routed for the installation of a Kahler tremolo. The alteration was not satisfactory, and the instrument's wood was restored
