Description
This is a simple switch cover / guard for common power strips with an I/O rocker switch.
I designed it because our cats sometimes step onto the power strip and accidentally press the on/off switch, which can unexpectedly turn off connected devices. This cover slides over the switch area and helps prevent accidental switching while still leaving the power strip usable.
It is a small and simple print, but very useful if you have cats, pets, or just want to avoid accidentally pressing the switch.
The model was designed around the type of power strip shown in the photos (most default/common in Europe (DE/AT/CH Area)), so please check the dimensions (and scale if necessary) before printing to make sure it fits your own power strip.
Features
- Helps prevent cats from accidentally pressing the power strip switch
- Simple slide-on design
- No screws or extra parts required
- Quick print, around 1 hour
- Works well with PLA
- Useful for desks, home offices, PC setups, chargers, lamps, and similar setups
Printing Information
- Material: PLA
- Print time: approx. 1 hour
- Supports: depending on orientation/profile, but designed as a simple print
- Additional parts: none required
Notes
Please make sure the cover fits your power strip properly and does not block ventilation, plugs, cables, or any safety-relevant parts. This is not an electrical safety device, but a simple mechanical guard against accidental switch presses.
