Description

Tired of digging through a tangled mess of rubber bands every time you load your slingshot?

I designed this compact storage box to solve one very specific (and very annoying) problem: slingshot bands and pouches getting knotted, twisted, and stuck together in storage. The built-in center divider keeps your bands separated and ready to grab — no more untying knots when you should be shooting.

Why this design?

A normal box just throws all your bands into one pile. The longer they sit, the more they tangle. This box has a removable center divider that splits the interior into two compartments, so your flat bands and tube bands stay separated, lay flat, and slide out cleanly every time.

Features

  • Center divider — keeps bands separated and tangle-free
  • Removable lid — snug friction fit, no clips or hinges to break
  • Compact footprint — fits in a drawer, range bag, or back pocket
  • Generous capacity — holds multiple flat bands, tube bands, and pouches
  • Print-in-place friendly — no supports, no assembly required (just drop the divider in)
  • Easy to print — single-wall design, prints clean on any FDM printer

Print Settings (Recommended)

  • Material: PLA or PETG
  • Layer height: 0.2 mm
  • Infill: 15–25%
  • Walls: 3+
  • Supports: Not required
  • Print time: ~8–9 hours

Dimensions

  • Length: 120 mm
  • Width: 50 mm
  • Height: 45 mm

(Adjust scale in your slicer to fit your specific bands and pouches.)

Tips

  • Print the body in one color and the lid/divider in a contrasting color for a clean two-tone look.
  • For extra durability on the field, print in PETG.
  • Scale up to 110–120% if you use wider flat-band sets.

If this saved you five minutes of untangling before a shooting session, a like and a comment mean a lot. Happy printing — and happy shooting! 🎯
