THE MODEL :

Infuse theatrical elegance and a touch of moody mystery into your home with this striking Baroque wall frame. Inspired by the fluid, asymmetrical lines of the Rocaille movement, its structure features sweeping scrolls, acanthus leaves, and a beautifully sculpted top crest wrapping around an elegantly contoured central opening. Designed to host a custom mirror glass, a botanical art print, or a dark oil painting, this piece effortlessly transforms any plain wall into a dramatic artistic focal point. It is the perfect accent to complement a dark romantic study, elevate a vanity table, or add historical depth to a modern interior layout.

Tested Print Settings (Recommendations): The fluid ornamental curves and contoured profile of this model were successfully verified using matte black PLA.

  • Infill: Set at 5% for the empty decorative wall setup. Technical Tip: If you intend to back this frame with a heavy glass mirror or a thick wooden panel, we highly recommend pushing the infill to 20% and running 4 wall loops (perimeters) to stiffen the structure against the weight and secure the mounting tabs.
  • Nozzle: 0.4 mm
  • Supports: Light tree supports are recommended beneath the most pronounced outer overhanging scrolls for a flawless surface finish.

Sizing Information: The model features slender vertical proportions that look great on accent pillars or centered above entryway tables. Please feel free to freely resize the model based on your desired use within your slicing software to perfectly match the inner window to the dimensions of your custom artwork or mirror plate.

INFORMATION:

A common question is: why do these prints require supports when they could be printed lying flat?

For my designs, I deliberately choose to print them standing upright rather than flat, in order to achieve the best possible level of detail. I prioritize visual quality over saving a few grams of filament.

Of course, you are free to change the print orientation in your slicer if you prefer.
