Description

This is an optimized, high-strength remix of the classic Honda/Acura 6.5-inch door speaker adapter plate, specifically prepared for a rugged car audio installation. It is a perfect fit for the 1994–2001 Acura Integra and similar 90s Honda door frames.

The original geometry is excellent, but standard slicer settings often result in a part that is too weak to handle heavy speaker vibrations, or one that easily cracks when you torque down the mounting screws into the sheet metal.

 What Makes This Version Better:

  • Maximized Wall Strength: Configured with 6 solid wall loops. This ensures that the entire outer flange and all screw hole pathways are printed out of pure, solid plastic perimeter tracks. You can drill new holes or drive self-tapping screws directly into the flange without the risk of crushing thin, hollow internal infill.
  • Vibration-Dampening Core: Sliced with 35% Gyroid infill. The alternating three-dimensional curves of the Gyroid pattern provide massive omnidirectional rigidity and act as a natural mechanical dampener, cutting down on annoying door panel rattles when cranking the bass.
  • All-Weather Durability: Optimized explicitly for a PETG filament profile. Standard PLA will warp and melt inside a baking-hot car door cavity during summer. PETG provides the impact resistance and thermal stability required for automotive environments.

Recommended Print Settings (Included in the 3MF):

  • Filament: PETG (highly recommended for car interiors)
  • Walls: 6 Loops
  • Top/Bottom Shells: 5 Layers
  • Infill: 35% Gyroid
  • Supports: None needed (prints completely flat)

Note: Because of the wide footprint of the mounting ears, these rings must be printed sequentially one-by-one on standard $256 \times 256\text{ mm}$ build plates.
