Description
A childhood memory from the 70s, 80s, and 90s. As a child, these were made with cardboard, buttons, bottle caps, and wooden sticks. You will need an 80cm strong string, one spinner disc, and two pull rings. Connect them with cotton string. Wear the hand protector on your thumb. Swing the flywheel a few times to build up momentum, then pull and release to play.
Pulling this requires skill; do not use brute force. You need to gradually increase the rotation speed by leveraging the flywheel's rotational force. Do not forcefully pull to artificially change the flywheel's direction of rotation; instead, use force to amplify force. The string will generate heat when it twists. I use a white nylon string, about 1.2mm thick, which can last for several days of play.
There are two versions: one with a whistling sound and one without
The whistling version is hollow inside and requires a sealed space. If there's air leakage from the gaps along the flywheel's edge, you can seal it with 502 glue
