Ganesha Door Peephole Relief with peacocks & lotus
Print Profile(1)

Description
Description
Decorative 3D-printable peephole cover featuring a stylized Ganesha-inspired elephant, peacocks, lotus flowers, and traditional Hindu ornamental motifs. Designed as a high-contrast relief with large, manufacturable features suitable for both FDM and resin printing.
Print Settings
Printed on a Bambu Lab H2D using PLA with an AMS 2 and AMS HT.
Slicer Settings
- 5% infill
- 2 wall loops (perimeters)
- 5 top layers
- 5 bottom layers
- Initial layer height: 0.20 mm
- Remaining layer height: 0.10 mm
I scaled the model in the Z direction before printing because I felt the original relief projected farther from the surface than I preferred. Reducing the Z scale created a shallower relief while preserving the overall appearance and detail of the design.
Coloring
The model was printed in PLA, and the additional colors were applied by hand during post-processing to highlight selected details.
Reducing Purge Waste
If you decide to print this model in multiple colors, I recommend taking steps to minimize purge waste:
- Enable Purge into Infill whenever possible.
- Reduce the flush/purge ratio to 0.5 or lower if your filament combination allows.
- Review color transitions and purge volumes before printing.
- Consider whether all color changes are necessary, especially for less visible features.
These settings produced a clean print with sharp detail while keeping material usage and print time reasonable.
