Description

Diablo II Inspired Charms with Keychain option ( separate print profile)

Diablo II was the first game I ever played and 25+ years later it's still one of my all time favorite games. Now I can carry a piece of it with me anywhere!

—

These models were made with Bambu Labs' Image to 3d. I've only slightly tweaked, fixed a few errors and polished them. I added some textures and holes so they can be used as keychains.

I'm still undecided on how I feel on the use of AI for 3D model creation. Is it just a tool to save time or is it something that takes away from the creative process? I wasn't sure whether to post it or not, but decided to do so + to share my thoughts and ask for your opinions! :)

- On one side I can see how a tool like this is meant to save time and be useful. In programming I would use a built in method, instead of spending days to write it myself. In photography I use Lightroom to select areas I want to mask, instead of spending hours doing it manually. In Blender I use Primitive shapes instead of creating a Torus from the ground up.

- On the other side, in all of those cases, I would dare say that creativity is not that involved, you simply have one step which can be done manually or with a tool. I most often know how to do it myself before resorting to AI.

- On a third and random side, I do feel the “ick” when I learn something is made with AI, which I'm not certain is right. I justify this model by the fact that creativity was not involved, as the inspiration was somethign that already exists, so perhaps I should treat it  in a similar way to a remix.
