Colorful Modular 5-Hook Wall Coat Rack

With its compact width of approx. 255 mm, this coat rack offers 5 sturdy hooks while keeping a clean and minimal wall-mounted look. The separate screw-on hooks make the design easy to customize — print it in one color, use a playful multi-color setup, or match the hooks to your room.

Mounting System

First, mount the backplate to the wall using up to 5 screws. Each screw position is hidden behind one hook, so the final design looks clean once assembled.

Each mounting hole has a diameter of Ø 5.5 mm. Around every screw position there is a recessed pocket of approx. 3 mm height and 10 mm depth, allowing the screw head to sit low enough before the hook is installed.

After the backplate is mounted, the hooks are simply screwed onto the base using the integrated 3D-printed threads. This creates a secure and reliable connection without glue.

Recommended Mounting Hardware

• 4.5–5.0 mm wall screws

• Suitable wall plugs / anchors for your wall type

• Low-profile or countersunk screw heads recommended

• Make sure the screw heads do not protrude above the recessed pocket, so the screw-on hooks can be installed properly

Recommended Material

For maximum strength and long-term durability, I recommend printing this model in PETG, especially for heavier everyday use.

PLA also works well for lighter loads and general household use.

• 4 walls

• 20% infill

• No supports required

Hooks:

• 3 walls

• 10% infill

• No supports required

Two print profiles are included: one for AMS and one for non-AMS printing.

AMS Profile

Plate 1: Backplate + one hook in the same color

Plate 2: Four hooks in different colors

The hooks on plate 2 are printed by object, so the colorful version can be printed without unnecessary multicolor waste.

Non-AMS Profile

Plate 1: Backplate + one hook in the same color

Plate 2: One single hook

Print plate 2 four times for four additional hooks, or place four hooks on this plate manually if you want to print them all in one color.
