Here is a useful tool that I recently found a need for when leveling the ground for my above ground pool. These brackets will hold a level to any 1.5" thick board (2x4,2x6,2x8,2x12). Placing a board in a pool base with one side attatched to a metal post and rotating it to move dirt to smooth out the pool base is a common and effective way of leveling a pool. I found that having a level attached to the board makes it much easier to level the ground. Sometimes weight has to be added to the board so it will apply more pressure. There is a screw clearance hole in the brackets if you want to make sure the level stays in place but these tend to fit the boards pretty well so screwing them on is usually not necessary. There are many other uses for these brackets. If you are like me and do a lot of work alone, being able to attach a level to a board helps free up a hand to make tasks easier and more accurate. Hope you enjoy!
