Description

I created a parametric model for mounting cylindrical objects to the MOD GRID platform (thanks for the inspiration, 3dedc!). You can use this model to create mounts for pens, flashlights, screwdrivers, batteries, whatever. Use the customizer to easily scale the model up or down. All of the mounts pictured are generated with the customizer.

Customization options
- tool diameter: enter the diameter of the tool.
- mount wall thickness: standard 1.75mm, decrease for a more flexible fit, increase for a snugger fit.
- mount opening: standard 27 degrees, increase for a more fit. You probably wouldn't want to go lower than 27 degrees value. Some objects require a more steep angle (up to 40 degrees) but I could not find a middle ground for all objects I tested, so this is now a parameter too.
- mount base offset: standard 1mm. Increase for more distance between the object and the base plate. Minimum is 1mm.

Good to know
- Included file has 2 mounts, one for a 16,6mm object (such as the HOTO 24-in-1 bitdriver pictured) and one for a 10mm object.
- I slightly modified the standard clips for attaching it to the base plate so it holds a bit better.
- I recommend printing in the 0.12mm fine profile for best results (included in .3mf file).
