THE MODEL :
Recreate the architectural opulence of grand European estates with this magnificent curved wall console. A faithful tribute to period cabinetmaking, its structure features a majestic scallop shell sculpted in high relief, flanked by sweeping acanthus leaves and dense Baroque scrollwork. This traditional and symmetrical design brings unique textural depth and timeless elegance to plain walls. It is the perfect statement piece to dress up an entryway, frame a layout beneath a gilded mirror, or serve as a refined ledge to showcase luxury perfume bottles, silverware, or small antique portraits.
Tested Print Settings (Recommendations): The fluid lines and rich ornamental contours of this model were successfully verified using matte black PLA.
- Infill: Display model printed at 5%. Load-Bearing Pro-Tip: Since the top deck is wide and deep, if you plan to use it for heavier everyday items, we highly advise boosting the infill to 25-30% and adding 4 wall loops (perimeters) to reinforce the connection between the core brace and the wall mounting brackets.
- Nozzle: 0.4 mm
- Supports: Tree supports are recommended beneath the main top ledge overhang and under the lowest sweeping scrolls for a clean surface finish.
Sizing Information: The file is scaled to classic interior proportions. Please feel free to freely resize the model based on your desired use inside your slicing software, whether you want to upscale it into a bold hallway console or downscale it into a delicate decorative ledge.
INFORMATION:
A common question is: why do these prints require supports when they could be printed lying flat?
For my designs, I deliberately choose to print them standing upright rather than flat, in order to achieve the best possible level of detail. I prioritize visual quality over saving a few grams of filament.
Of course, you are free to change the print orientation in your slicer if you prefer.
