Description

NUMAKERS SPOOL STORAGE BOX

⚠️ Compatibility Notice

This model is designed specifically for the newer version of Numakers filament spools(which has multiple holes across the whole spool)

It is currently NOT compatible with older Numakers spool designs due to dimensional differences. Please compare your spool with the photos before printing.

Like many 3D printing enthusiasts, I ended up with a growing collection of empty filament spools. Instead of letting them gather dust or throwing them away, I wanted to give them a second life.

The idea was simple: convert empty Numakers spools into a practical storage box.

While searching for existing models, I couldn't find an STL designed specifically for the new Numakers spools. So I decided to design my own version from scratch.

The result is a compact and functional storage box that reuses two empty spools and helps organize all those small items that tend to clutter up a workspace.

Perfect For Storing

  • Screws and nuts
  • Electronic components
  • Jewellery
  • Buttons
  • Paints and craft supplies
  • Small tools and accessories
  • Other miscellaneous parts

Features

  • Reuses empty Numakers filament spools
  • Easy to print and assemble
  • Multiple storage compartments
  • Strong and practical design
  • Helps reduce waste by giving old spools a useful purpose

Assembly

  1. Print all required parts: storage + lock pins
  2. Assemble the storage components onto the spools.
  3. Apply some super glue on the bottom side of the lock pins.
  4. Insert the lock pin from top side and then other lock pin from bottom side.
  5. Secure the parts as shown in the photos
  6. Start organizing your workspace.

If you print one, I'd love to see your make and hear your feedback.

Happy printing and happy recycling! ♻️
