Modern Wall Lamp with Fuzzy Lampshade

I designed this wall lamp to combine the clean look of modern lighting with the creative possibilities of 3D printing.

The entire lamp is fully printable and assembled from separate parts, creating a minimalist wall-mounted fixture with a warm and elegant appearance. The textured lampshade diffuses light beautifully and gives the lamp a soft, premium feel that works well in living rooms, bedrooms, hallways, studios, or creative workspaces.

The lampshade was printed using Ivory PLA with a Fuzzy Skin effect applied in Bambu Studio, creating a subtle fabric-like texture that closely resembles a traditional lampshade while remaining entirely 3D printed.

Materials

The entire project was printed in PLA, which works perfectly for normal indoor use.

For users looking for additional strength, durability, or higher heat resistance, ASA or ABS are recommended alternatives.

Lampshade Settings

The lampshade was printed using:

• Ivory PLA
• Fuzzy Skin enabled in Bambu Studio
• Vase Mode enabled

IMPORTANT

⚠️ IMPORTANT: VASE MODE MUST BE ENABLED FOR THE LAMPSHADE ⚠️

THE LAMPSHADE IS DESIGNED TO BE PRINTED IN VASE MODE ONLY.

If Vase Mode is not enabled, the lampshade will not print as intended and light diffusion will be significantly affected.

Why I Made It

I wanted to create a lamp that felt less like a typical 3D printed object and more like a real design piece you would proudly install in your home.

The combination of the matte black structure and the softly textured ivory lampshade creates a clean Scandinavian-inspired aesthetic while remaining simple to print and assemble.
