🛠️ Printing Tips (Print Settings)
The model is optimized for stress-free printing and has excellent tolerance. Here are the recommended parameters for achieving an excellent surface finish:
- Recommended Material: PLA (for maximum detail precision) or PETG (if you're looking for greater elasticity and thermal resistance). Metallic gray or matte black pair perfectly with Apple's space gray and silver colors.
- Orientation: Place the model flat on its base (as shown in the print bed photos).
- Supports: NO. The model is structured to print bridges and overhangs completely autonomously.
- Layer Height: 0.16 mm or 0.20 mm for smooth walls and defined text.
- Infill: 15% - 20% (Gyroid or Grid for good structural solidity).
- Wall Loops: At least 3 to ensure proper rigidity for the vertical partitions.
💡 Tip: To prevent scratches on the Mac's chassis and further increase grip, you can apply a strip of felt tape or small adhesive rubber feet inside the slot and under the base!
