A clean, tool-free mounting solution for the Roland GK-3 hex pickup on carved top guitars (PRS, Les Paul, and similar arched-body instruments), where the standard adhesive strip cannot lay flat due to the body curvature.
The bracket attaches directly to the existing strap lock screw on the lower bout — no drilling, no permanent modifications. The GK-3 pickup can be positioned near the bridge either with double-sided tape applied directly to the guitar body, or secured to the bracket itself using the dedicated mounting surface on the upper section, which slides under the bridge humbucker ring for a clean, integrated look.
Key features:
- Strap lock screw mount — fits standard Schaller-style and compatible strap lock hardware
- Recessed felt pad pockets on all contact surfaces — cut and glue your own felt pieces to protect the carved top finish from scratches
- Low-profile design that keeps the GK-3 close to the strings for optimal tracking
- Designed for carved/arched top guitars where flat adhesive mounting is not practical
- No permanent modifications required — fully reversible installation
Print settings:
- Material: PETG recommended (good layer adhesion, slight flex for a secure fit)
- Layer height: 0.2 mm
- Walls: 4 perimeters
- Infill: 30% gyroid
- Supports: not required
Hardware needed:
- Self-adhesive felt sheet — cut to fit the recessed pockets
