Description
Srebrenica Flower - Cvijet Srebrenice – Parametric Memorial Model
Overview
This model is a parametric 3D representation inspired by the Srebrenica Flower (Cvijet Srebrenice), a symbol of remembrance dedicated to the victims of the Srebrenica genocide of July 1995.
The flower consists of eleven petals surrounding a central core and is widely recognized as a symbol of memory, solidarity, and the commitment to preserve historical truth. This model translates the flower into a customizable 3D design suitable for display, educational projects, commemorative events, and personal remembrance.
The design was created in OpenSCAD and can be fully customized through parameters, allowing users to generate different visual variations while preserving the recognizable geometry of the flower.

OpenSCAD Parameters
The included OpenSCAD source file allows you to generate custom variations of the Srebrenica Flower by adjusting a set of easy-to-understand parameters.
Main Parameters
- size
Controls the overall size of the flower. Increasing this value scales the entire model proportionally. Size is measured from the center to the center of the circle that shape the petal. - petals
Defines the number of petals around the flower. The traditional Srebrenica Flower uses 11 petals, reprsenting the date of 11th July. - levels
Determines how many stacked flower layers are generated:- 1 - flat flower
- 2 - two-layer flower
- 3 - three-layer monument-style flower
- 4 - also possible but looks busy. Still, use it if you like it
- level_shrink
Controls how much each upper layer is reduced in size compared to the layer below it.
Feature Toggles
- use_rim
Enables or disables the decorative raised rim around the flower outline. - use_spokes
Enables or disables the radial spokes connecting the center to the petals. Don't use if you don' use rims. - use_holes
Enables or disables the decorative holes located near the center of each petal.
Center Pillar Parameters
- center_radius_ratio
Defines the radius of the center (green) cylinder relative to the overall flower size. - center_height
Sets the height of the center cylinder. You need to set this manually if you change the layers/rim!
Decorative Parameters
- petal_radius_ratio
Controls the size of each petal relative to the flower radius. - rim_height
Sets the height of the decorative rim. - rim_width
Sets the width of the decorative rim. - spoke_width
Controls the thickness of the radial spokes. - hole_radius_ratio
Defines the size of the decorative holes. - hole_distance_ratio
Controls how far the decorative holes are positioned from the center of the flower.
Printing Notes
- No supports required.
- Prints well with PLA, PETG, or similar materials.
- For multi-color printing, the model uses a separate top layer on the center cylinder that can be assigned green color.
