🧱 The Ultimate Brick Generator V1.4 – Guide

Welcome to the Brick Generator! With this tool, you can create exactly the bricks that are missing from your collection. Whether it's huge plates for toddlers, standard-sized bricks, or tiny Nanoblocks – here, you make the rules!

✨ Here's what's new in Version 1.4 (Feature Summary):

  • 3 Systems in one tool: Choose between the Danish classic in standard size, the well-known large bricks for children's rooms, and tiny Nanoblocks.
  • Every size is possible: Determine the length, width, and height of your bricks yourself.
  • Round or Angular: Create angular standard bricks or classic 1x1 round bricks.
  • Smooth Tiles: Make the top side smooth if you want to build floors or walls.
  • Mass Production: Automatically fill your build plate with as many bricks as will fit.
  • NEW - Stabilizers: A switchable internal skeleton to prevent the tubes from breaking off during play.
  • NEW - Rounded Edges: For bricks that feel great and look classy.
  • NEW - Pro Fit (Fix the Fit): Frames, inner tubes, and studs can now be individually adjusted so that the bricks clamp firmly!

🚀 Step-by-Step: How to build your perfect brick

For your brick to perfectly fit your other bricks in the end, simply follow these easy steps:

Step 1: Which system do you want?

At the top, under "Type of Brick", you select which system you want to build for.

  • Tip: If you are building Nanoblocks (System 3), it's best to use a very fine 0.2mm nozzle on your 3D printer, as these bricks are tiny!

Step 2: Determine Shape and Size

Under "Shape & Size", building begins!

  • Do you want a normal angular brick or a round 1x1 brick?
  • Use the sliders to set how many studs long and wide the brick should be.
  • Set its height (1 = a very flat plate, 3 = a normal thick brick).

Step 3: Make your brick special (Pro Features)

Now you can refine your brick:

  • Edge Radius: Softens the corners. This looks great and doesn't poke you if you step on it! 😉
  • Top Side: Should there be studs on top, or should the brick be completely smooth on top (Smooth Tile)?
  • Stabilizers: If you are building a very tall brick or printing small Nanoblocks, switch this to "On". It builds small invisible walls inside, making the brick extremely stable!

Step 4: Single or many? (Mass Production)

Need 50 bricks at once? No problem! Simply select "Fill Plate" under "Mass Production" and tell the software which printer you have. The tool will automatically create a full build plate for you.

Step 5: IMPORTANT! The perfect fit (Fix the Fit)

Please read this carefully before you start printing! Every material (PLA, PETG, ABS) shrinks a little differently when cooling. Therefore, your first printed brick might fit too loosely or too tightly.

The Solution: Always print only a single test brick (preferably a 2x4 brick). Doesn't it fit perfectly? Then go to the category "Expert: Fix the Fit". Here you can work wonders:

  • Are the outer walls not clamping? -> Change the Frame Fit.
  • Is the brick slipping on the inner tubes? -> Change the Tube Fit.
  • Are other bricks difficult to attach on top? -> Change the Stud Fit. (A positive value like +0.05 makes the part thicker/tighter. A negative value makes it thinner/looser).

💡 The Secret Tip for Pro Printers: Mirror-Smooth Tiles!

If you print flat plates or "Smooth Tiles" (bricks without studs on the top side), we have a clever trick for you in the slicer (e.g., Bambu Studio):

Simply turn the brick upside down in the slicer! (Rotate by 180 degrees).

This prints the smooth top side of your brick directly onto your 3D printer's printing plate. If you use a very smooth printing plate (Smooth PEI), your brick will be mirror-smooth on top – almost like the well-known classics from Denmark that you can buy everywhere! Even cooler: If you have a "Holo-effect plate" (PEA or PEO plate with patterns), your brick will get a really cool hologram pattern on its surface!

Have fun building, inventing, and printing! Feel free to leave a photo of your printed creations in the comments!

If you like my work there are a lot of way how to support me!

The easiest and most direct way is to leave a boost…

Boost Me (for free)

The most easy way to support me and my work! Due to the many boosts i recieved here i was already able to safe my printers and my supply of spare parts more than one time! You keep me running and every single boost helps! Let me thank you all for your consideration!

You can also support me with a membership! They start at the lowest tier possible here on makerworld. For just 3 bucks a month you can force me to continue uploading more and new models ;-) I wouldn´t be able to leave a month without new models when there are people who support me with their hard earned money… LoL therefore im to well educated ;-)

Also you can use my Amazon links in the descriptions, when i tell which Filament i use! Links like this here:

Buy PLA Filaments on Amazon

But the most convenient way to support me, without paying anything is to follow me on TikTok, leave some likes, share some videos and spread the message that im there!

If you are a designer, you can also contact me to show your models, if you are a shop or manufacturer feel also free to reach out! Im here to show people the beauty of 3D printing and sharing my journey in this hobby. Showing off what others can do is also part of the game! Support ist kein Mord! (support is no murder, we say in germany)
