I want to present to you the E-100, a super-heavy tank design from WWII. This model is extremely detailed and FULLY FUNCTIONAL.
The design focuses on both realism and mechanical playability, featuring fully working motion systems and high-detail exterior modeling down to visible bolts and surface hardware.
Features:
- Fully smooth movable tracks and wheels (
- Turret rotates smoothly 360°
- Gun elevation and depression:
- Gun Depression: -7°
- Gun Elevation: +20°
- Extremely high detail, including visible bolt work and surface detailing
- Functional gear-driven track system for realistic movement
Printing Recommendations:
- Highly recommended: 0.2mm nozzle for maximum detail (due to many fine features)
- 0.4mm nozzle is also fully workable, but with slightly reduced detail
- Tracks should be printed without supports!
Assembly Notes:
- Model should be assembled using superglue, except for the tracks
- When installing the tracks:
- The center guides are design slightly offset to one side. They must face inward toward the hull (not outward), or the system will not function correctly.
- Ensure the gear drive fully engages with the track holes for smooth movement.
Important:
- The tank’s movement works best on rough or high-friction surfaces (like a desk mat or textured pad). Smooth surfaces (like polished floors or glass) may cause poor traction and reduced movement.
- Due to the extremely small and detailed parts, handle with care during assembly and use , fine features can break if excessive force is applied
Design Process:
This model was created entirely from scratch in Fusion 360. It went through multiple test prints and refinements to ensure proper fit, durability, and printability. Over 40+ hours were spent designing, testing, and improving the model. No AI tools were used—every part was manually designed and engineered.
Fun Fact:
This E-100 is actually a major upgrade from the very first tank I ever designed and 3D printed. Seeing both versions side by side really shows how far I had improve:
