Description

High flow shaker style siphon designed to fit ¾” ID flexible PVC tubing (not for PVC Pipe) or standard ¾" garden hose (see alt print profiles). Designed to use a standard 5/8” (~16mm) glass marble as the internal check valve. The print profile has a pause at layer 245 to drop the marble in place and then resume printing. This can be adjusted as desired as long as it is between layer 215 and 275. Layer 245 was chosen as the default as this has the least risk for interference during printing.

During testing, a flow rate of 4.5 gallons/min (~17 L/min) was achieved with a 3’ (~1m) elevation difference between the inlet and outlet.

Installing PVC Tubing:

  1. Soften end of tubing using either hot water or a heat gun
  2. Gently work tubing over barbed end of siphon
  3. Push tube until it seats against main body of siphon
  4. OPTIONAL: Add a hose clamp around barbed portion, this is not required but can help ensure the tube does not come off the siphon. ** DO NOT OVER TIGHTEN HOSE CLAMP **
