Description

Rotary turntable for scanning is a practical, modular tool for precise capturing of objects using a 3D scanner or photogrammetry. The design is made to be easily printable, reliable, and allows smooth rotation without play.

🔧 Construction and Parts

The model consists of four main parts:

  • Turntable with knurling — comfortable manual rotation during scanning
  • Base — stable support for the entire mechanism
  • 12-roller bearing — freely inserted, ensures smooth operation
  • Anti-slip TPU strip — prevents slipping on the table

The parts fit together loosely, no screws or glue are needed. Two sizes are available:

  • 200 mm basic diameter
  • 300 mm extended version

     

🌀 Features and Ergonomics

The turntable has fine knurling around the edge, which ensures a firm grip and comfortable rotation even during longer scanning sessions. The 12-roller bearing provides smooth and stable operation.

🖨 Printing Recommendations

  • Materials: PLA or PETG, anti-slip strip made of TPU
  • Print the rollers standing up for maximum precision
  • If the rollers in the cage are too tight, reduce them by 0.1 mm
  • Note: the models are not oriented for printing — set the correct orientation in your slicer
