Welcome to the Modular Clicker Button project! This is not your usual desk fidget gadget: it's a blank canvas for your creativity
The design is intentionally simple and clean, conceived to offer an incredibly satisfying tactile and auditory experience (thanks to the use of a classic mechanical keyboard switch), but most importantly to unlock infinite customization possibilities directly within your slicer
If you love the "click" of mechanical keyboards and enjoy creating unique objects, this is the perfect model for you
💡 Main Features
- Switch Mechanism: Designed to perfectly accommodate a mechanical keyboard switch. Tactile feedback is guaranteed!
- Modular Design: The modules are geometric and precise, easy to print without supports and ready to be combined
- Multi-Color Ready: Optimized to create unique color combinations between the base and button
🚀 Infinite Customization Possibilities (No CAD? No Problem!)
The true strength of this model is that you don't need to know how to use CAD software to modify it. You can do everything directly in Bambu Studio:
- Text Function: Use the text tool in Bambu Studio to engrave or emboss letters, numbers, emojis directly on the keycap
- Add your SVGs: Add a vector file (.svg) to the keycap to imprint your brand logo, your favorite superhero icon, or any custom graphic
- Boolean Union (Infinite Modules): Do you want a double clicker, a triple clicker, or a giant macro keyboard? Use the "Merge" (Boolean) function in Bambu Studio to duplicate and fuse multiple bases together into a single piece before sending it to print

🛠️ What you need for assembly
- The printed files for this project (Base and Button)
- 1x Mechanical Switch
- Glue (optional): A drop of cyanoacrylate glue can be useful to securely fix the external parts of the body if your printer's tolerances are very wide
🖨️ Printing Tips
- Material: PLA or PETG (PLA is recommended for brighter colors and sharper text details)
- Supports: Depends on needs; the design is optimized to print completely without supports. If you need to flip the base or button, enable supports
- Infill: 15-20% (Gyroid recommended)
- Layer Height: 0.16mm High Quality; if you customize the button with small text, go down to 0.12mm for maximum definition of the top surface

For a successful print it is mandatory to use the Bambulab glue stick on the build plate.
