Cantilevered Organizer/Tool Box V2
Print Profile(1)

Bill of Materials
Description
A compact cantilevered toolbox that unfolds into multiple trays for instant access to tools, hardware, and small parts. Designed to maximize the build volume of Bambu Lab printers while remaining sturdy, portable, and easy to print. This design is different from v1 in many ways, but here are some of the highlights:
- Gasket rim on the outside box to keep lid and contents extra secure
- Chamfered top and bottom edge for nicer look
- Folding handle for easy transportation
- Tighter latch for extra security
- Greater access to inside drawers for easier access
This design requires the following hardware parts(Also listed in BOM):
- M3x12 Socket head screw x16
- M3x20 Socket head screw x1
- M3x18 Socket head screw x4 (M3x20 also works here)
- M3 Nut x19
Assembly should be intuitive but just in case here is a written instruction manual:
- Add screws (M3x18 or 20) and nuts to holes in the outer hinge (lid on top of base) and screw them together
- Add screws (M3x18 or 20) and nuts to holes in the handle housing (Box fully open) with the handle in place and screw them together
- Add screw (M3x20) and nut to the small part of the clasp in place with the hole on the base and screw together
- Add screws (M3x12) to the top part of the clasp and screw into smaller piece of the clasp
- With the clasp facing you, screw an M3x12 screw into the far hole on the left and right of the outside of the box into a nut on the long arms (make sure to use the side with the hexagonal hole for the nut)
- Screw an M3x12 screw into the inside holes of the base into a hex nut on the short arms (make sure the short arm has a hexagonal hole for the nut)
- Screw M3x12 screws and nuts into the 3-hole per side drawer and connect front two to the two attached arms on each side
- Attach the 2 remaining short arms with M3x12 screws and nuts to the 3-hole per side drawer
- Align the 2-hole per side drawer's holes with the 2 holes on each arm per side and screw together with M3x12 screws and nuts
The design in assembled form (no fasteners) is the one STL file available for download (although it only contains 1 of each arm and 2 of each are required for printing), so if you need a replacement, just load into your slicer, split to objects and choose the part you need. This box measures 250x150x100mm on the outside and takes full advantage of P/A/X series printer's build volume. I tested this on my A1 with PLA and everything works great. Support is required but should be easy to remove. If you have any suggestions on how I can make this better, do tell, I am open to feedback. Happy Printing!
