Cross Roller Bearing Family (6XX and 60XX Series)
Print Profile(1)

Description
Various sizes of full complement 3D printable cross roller bearings in standard 6XX and 60XX ball bearing packages — including the popular 608!
Unlike standard roller bearings that are limited to radial loads only, cross roller bearings handle axial, radial, and moment loads — bringing them far closer to the real-world capability of a ball bearing in a printable package. If you've been frustrated by the limitations of radial-only roller bearings, this is the upgrade you've been looking for.
The bearing names reflect their ball bearing equivalent package dimensions, making these straightforward drop-in replacements across a wide range of applications. These are roller bearings — not ball bearings — but their alternating perpendicular roller arrangement means they can resist forces in every direction, not just radial making these similar to ball bearings.
Ball bearings are notoriously difficult to print successfully on FDM printers. Cross roller bearings solve this while offering similar axial, radial, and moment carrying capability improvement over standard radial roller bearings. These specific models were optimized to reduce internal clearance while still maintaining printability across various printers and tolerances.
The trade-off between cross roller bearings versus fully printed radial roller bearings is that these do require some assembly (place and snap together - no glue!) — tweezers are recommended for placing the alternating rollers. Install the rollers with the outside race and shorter inside race in position on a flat surface. Alternate roller directions as shown in the image below and apply some grease if desired. Snap the second half of the inside race into position with firm pressure. That's it!

⚠️ Please note: These are plastic bearings. They will not match the load capacity, smoothness, or longevity of precision metallic bearings. Applying a grease (such as silicone grease) to the rollers is strongly recommended to reduce noise and wear.
Features:
- Handles axial, radial, and moment loads
- Requires assembly — tweezers recommended
- No supports or rafts needed
- Full complement roller design
- Approx. radial & axial play: +/-0.3mm (+/-0.01in)
Available sizes:

*OD is undersized by .010" (.2mm) and the ID is oversized by .1mm to reduce interference with housing and shaft since these are 3D printed parts.
