Description
A sphericon is a fascinating geometric solid that has a continuous single surface. When you roll it on a flat surface, it doesn't move in a straight line, but instead wiggles in a continuous wobbling motion. It is the perfect desk toy, fidget tool, or mathematical curiosity.
About This Model
To ensure the best print quality and a completely support-free print, this model is split into two halves. They are easily aligned and securely joined together using a simple rectangular pin (connector) included in the files. Just print, alignment-check, snap or glue together, and roll!
I have included 2 different versions for you to choose from:
- Simple Sphericon: The classic geometric shape with sharp, clean lines.
- Rounded Sphericon: A smoother, more fluid variation with an elegant twist.
💡 Filament Tip
This model looks absolutely stunning when printed with Silk Multicolor. The shifting colors beautifully highlight the unique wobbling movement and geometry as it rolls!
Higher infill is recommended to add weight for a smoother rolling motion.
Also added .step files for high accuracy 3D models.
